Taylor Swift finally has a camera that can capture all her fans in one shot. OK, not all of them. But a lot.
She's just become the brand ambassador (a fancy way of saying highly paid spokesperson) for Sony's new Cyber-shot DSC-TX7 camera that shoots sweeping panoramic photos.
The national ad campaign starts Monday (Apr. 26) night during primetime on FOX ("House"), The CW ("Gilmore Girls"), and NBC ("Chuck.")
Brennan Mullin -- Sony's Senior VP of Personal Imaging and Audio Division made an appearance for media at Taylor Swift's recent LA Staples Center concert to tell people why they chose her for this camera.
"The whole mission behind the Make.Believe campaign and Sony is that anything you can believe in, anything you can imagine, you can make real. And when you look at Taylor and what she's done -- a young singer/songrwriter who had huge dreams -- she embodies that."
He adds: "Taylor is really up on social media and is communicating with her fans every day. Every hour she tweets, she's on her Facebook page. Using our camera, she's able to capture and immediately post pictures while she's on the road."
