Budweiser 'Coming Home' :: The Irony In Advertising


Isn't it very ironic that Budweiser's latest ad depicts a military soldier coming home. On September 1, 2001 the terriorist acts made by Osama Bin Laden and members of his team destroyed the World Trade Centers in New York City and though it drastically effected our economy, it brought us together as a nation.

On Sunday May 1, 2011 it became global news that Osama Bin Laden was dead. This may bring a lot of our soldiers home before year's end and even more over the next few years.

Budweiser and their partnering agency either had great instinct or even better intel. I believe it's the ladder. All in all, Buweiser has made an emotional connection with it's core demo and I am sure that they will use this spot for years to come.
