It doesn’t get any better than that for a brand, in this case Chrysler’s Jeep SUV division. Kravitz is launching its latest ad campaign by introducing a new track “Rock Star City Life” from his forthcoming album in one of the ads, says the Wall Street Journal. Another, now available on YouTube, is the usual rugged road-rugged car-rugged driver vignette.
Sure, companies routinely nab celebrities to serve as their spokesperson or face of their brand. And a growing number of artists, like Lady Gaga and now Kravitz, are proving increasingly eager to release their work in a commercial venue (or rather a commercial venue whose first goal is not to sell music).
But a celebrity, exclusive music release and a personal connection like driving the same Jeep for sixteen years? Way to go Chrysler.
