Converse continues their Summer 2010 Music Collaboration Series with a look into the life of Kid Cudi.

We all aspire to be great in one way or another. Some of us want to be Ralph Lauren, Sam Walton, Phil Knight or just the greatest Mother or Father we can be. For every influential person in the world there was a vigorous starting point.
In the hit HBO series "How To Make It In America" Ben Epstein (Bryan Greenberg) is sales associate at Barney's New York with an intense dream of launching his own denim line. Ben knows what the people want, where they shop, how they dress, and where they party... He's just having a hard time trying to get to the starting line.
In this world in order to make it BIG, we must learn how the basics of the industry. If you want to be Diddy you must start out on the street team, If you want to be Ralph Lauren you must start out folding the shirts.
Bottom line, whatever you aspire to be in life just learn in from the ground up.
The partnership between "How To Make It In America" and Barney's New York makes it cool to work in the retail industry while persuing your dreams. In the midst of a re-emerging economy Barney's has positioned themselves as the premiere retail store that will attract a core demographic of potential future employee's and customer's that will organically help the increase of their bottom line without using traditional advertising outlets.
